Just for fun and to get rid of the many loose parts I have, I builded a 2C34 PP amplifier. It gives me about 6 watts class A1 power, very much punch and detail. I tested it on my 104 dB Lowthers and it plays almost as good as the SE amps, much better than I expected... Resistors are Allan-Bradleys, power resistors Kiwame, coupling capacitors Jensen paper/oils, Johnson tube sockets, Nichicon electrolytics and internal wiring is van den Hul D-101 Hybrid (silvered copper with lineair structured carbon core) in the power supply and van den Hul SCS-28 M signal cable. The iron is Philips and LaFayette and all connectors are goldplated.

Everything in the design is done to make it looking attractive, without loosing on the sound. It must do good on shows... The top-plate is made of brass, the 2C34 power tube looks very nice with it's double top-caps, the four 20 uF/GE paper/oil capacitors, the size and the symmetry of it all make it a very attractive amplifier.

The schematics are presented here.
