Types of Black Gate capacitors for sale:

• The Black Gate FK and K types sound very well as cathode decoupling capacitors for audio purposes. For power supply I recommend using paper/oil types or for larger values Philips Low loss Electrolytics. I think the Philips sound even better than the Black Gate capacitors, for much lower price. We measured bandwidth on them over 200 kHz! I also use Philips LL most of the time as cathode decoupler in power stages, in the first stage I use Black Gate FK. This combination sounds really good in most amplifiers.
• The Black Gate NX and N types are a family of completely symmetric electrolytic non-polar capacitors. They function in the same manner as film capacitors within the withstanding voltage. A compact, large-capacity package which film capacitors are not capable of. Capable of high-performance when used in NF circuits, coupling circuits and bias circuits, etc.
• The Black Gate PK types are ultrasmall high performance capacitors. Very suitable when high performace has to be combined with little space.
• We do not sell Black Gate WKZ, in our opinion they are overpriced and not much better (but of course different) than for example Philips LL, Nichicon PR or UCC SMH. It is better to take them and adjust sound with cheaper parts elsewhere.
